From Vixen to Losmandy: suitable for all dovetail bars
There are two telescope attachment types: Vixen and Losmandy. These two brands reflect differing rail sizes, and are used by almost all manufacturers today - which is a great relief for all telescope owners. When you attach a telescope in the future it will always fit into the Omegon saddle; thanks to the clever design it is compatible with both formats.
Clamp with wide surface area and greater load-carrying capacity
The broad clamp has a wide surface area which ensures a secure grip even with heavy instruments. This system is considerably more superior than a point clamp. A real plus: the dovetail bars look immaculate even with regular use, ensuring your telescope holds its value.
Quick connection
Quickly attach and detach the telescope. This is an advantage that all modern mounts should have. With the Omegon saddle you achieve exactly that. No screws, you simply place the telescope in the saddle and then secure the central clamp with a short turn. Easy even with gloves on in the dark.
Mounting holes
The dovetail clamp is 20 centimetres long. There are three holes at each end and two slots in the middle. Together they ensure that the attachment to the mount head works perfectly.
