The new 290 Xtra Carbon is the perfect combination of low weight and perfect rigidity: It is the first extra stable tripod specially designed for hobby photographers. The 290 Xtra Carbon is a tripod with three leg segments. It is the largest tripod in the 290 range and has carbon pipes which provide higher tripod stability and rigidity during use with heavy equipment. The upper cast piece, the shoulder and the adjustable leg levers are made from magnesium. Thanks to the adjustable lever tension, the effects of age and wear-and-tear can be effectively counteracted. The tripod’s special feature is the its four different leg angles which allow especially creative images to be captured. Thanks to its quickly usable central column, a high level of flexibility in height can be achieved. A new cold-proof handle guarantees optimal ergonomics and a comfortable grip. The new 290 Xtra Carbon is equipped with the 804 3-way panhead (MH804-3W) with a quick release plate and stands out due to its compact size. This patented head guarantees the field of view can be precisely set and offers a stable support for medium-weight camera equipment. This head's special feature is its pull-out lever which can be folded in when not in use. This makes the head compact and easily transportable. The newly designed ergonomic handles are manufactured from a special rubber material which increases its grip. The 3-way panhead is manufactured from Adapto polymer plastic, which is lightweight and exceptionally robust.
